Client work · Web platform build, 2026
Pro 1 Painters: a painting contractor’s website, rebuilt as a product
A residential and commercial painting contractor serving Mobile and Baldwin County, Alabama. Instead of another brochure site, we engineered a platform: 460+ programmatic pages, an in-browser AI color tool, a self-publishing blog, and automation that keeps the whole thing fed without anyone touching a CMS.
The client
Two counties, two Google Business Profiles, one crew in the field
Pro 1 Painters paints homes and commercial buildings across Mobile and Baldwin County, with locations in Mobile and Spanish Fort.
Their old WordPress site was the bottleneck: 75 URLs in total, and a full year of 2025 under the previous vendor produced just 1,340 organic clicks at an average position of 32.8. The rebuild treated the site as a software project rather than a design refresh — programmatic page generation, scheduled publishing, and API-driven profile updates, all live today at pro1painters.com. The migration itself stayed boring on purpose: Google Workspace email was preserved, and every one of the 75 legacy URLs was kept live or 301-redirected.
Project fact sheet
- Platform: Next.js on Vercel, migrated from WordPress
- Scale: 460+ pages, programmatic city × service architecture
- Cutover: DNS flipped 2026-06-07; all 75 legacy URLs kept live or 301-redirected
- Email: Google Workspace preserved through the migration
- Content: native blog engine, 521 posts on a weekday cron drip
- Tooling: on-device AI Color Visualizer, GBP API automation, daily Indexing API + IndexNow submission
What we engineered
Four systems that run themselves
The interesting parts of this build aren't pages — they're the machinery behind them.
On-device AI Color Visualizer
A homeowner uploads a photo of their house; the tool segments the image and recolors the surfaces with real paint picks — entirely in the browser, so the photo never leaves their device.
460+ page programmatic build
A city × service architecture generated from structured data pairs Pro 1’s services with the communities they serve across Mobile and Baldwin County — each page built at deploy time, not hand-written.
A blog that publishes itself
A native blog engine holds 521 posts released on a weekday drip schedule via Vercel cron. The content calendar runs for months without anyone logging in to publish.
GBP automation with Telegram photo intake
Crews send job-site photos to a Telegram bot from the field; automation pushes posts to both Google Business Profiles — Mobile and Spanish Fort — through the GBP API.
Zero-loss WordPress exit
DNS cutover on June 7, 2026 with Google Workspace email preserved and all 75 legacy URLs kept live or 301-redirected — for example /concrete-coatings/ forwarding to the new /floor-painting/ page.
Search plumbing on a daily job
Every page is auto-submitted to Google via the Indexing API and to Bing and Yandex via IndexNow on a daily job, so new content doesn't wait around to be discovered.
What the platform produced
426 clicks in month one — against 1,340 for all of the prior year
Under the previous vendor, the site drew 1,340 organic clicks across the entirety of 2025 — roughly 112 a month. The first full month on the new platform did 426. All figures below are from Google Search Console and the site's own form logs.
The owners’ own count adds a line we can’t measure from analytics: 77 estimates in June 2026, against 60 in the same month the year before.
First 5 days and first full month, verified
- 4 customer service requests through the site forms in the first 5 days live — from Fairhope, Theodore, Mobile, and Spanish Fort
- 121 pages drawing Google impressions within 5 days of cutover
- 426 organic clicks in the first full month (Jun 8 – Jul 5), on 66,061 impressions
- 84 keywords on page 1 of Google at the one-month mark
- PageSpeed 86 mobile / 96 desktop (median of 5 runs)
See it live
Try the Color Visualizer yourself
The fastest way to judge this build is to use it — upload a photo and repaint a house in the browser, then browse the site it lives on.
